This prerelease adds administrator connection diagnostics and reviewed site recovery, plus a refreshed fleet dashboard.

    Changes

    • Check the imported session against MSCC and distinguish authentication, permission, network, response-format, and empty-site failures.
    • Recognize site renames using the stable MSCC site ID.
    • Search the current site directory and preview the site/contract and printer additions/removals before confirming a change.
    • Save durable recovery snapshots and restore the previous selection and fleet.
    • Use the redesigned navigation, fleet controls, and responsive layouts.

    Download and build on Windows

Download HP-MSCC-Fleet-Dashboard-build-source-0.6.0-beta.1.zip and its matching .sha256 file from the assets below. This is the build-source package for a manual Windows build; a prebuilt EXE is not included.

    1. Verify the ZIP with Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 against the accompanying checksum.
    2. Extract it on Windows 10/11 x64 with Python 3.11 x64 (including the py launcher), Node.js, and PowerShell 5.1 or newer.
    3. Close any running HP MSCC Dashboard, then open PowerShell in the extracted HP-MSCC-Fleet-Dashboard-build-source-0.6.0-beta.1 directory.
    4. Follow packaging/windows/BUILD-MACHINE.md and run the existing build command:
powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File packaging\windows\build.ps1

The build script runs the tests, creates the self-contained Windows application, audits its contents, and runs Windows-specific smoke checks. Its output is dist\windows\HP-MSCC-Fleet-Dashboard-windows-x64.zip with a matching checksum. Move only that resulting runtime ZIP to an end-user workstation.

For an existing installation, close the old application and extract the new runtime ZIP into a new folder. Keep %LOCALAPPDATA%\HP-MSCC-Fleet-Dashboard to retain the administrator account, selected site, fleet, protected session, and recovery snapshots. Sign in again and renew an expired MSCC session.

    Validation

    • 228 Python tests passed from the integrated source and again from the extracted build-source ZIP.
    • Syntax checks passed for all 15 JavaScript files.
    • All 75 archive file hashes verified; the site seed and site catalog passed their schema checks.
    • Earlier browser checks covered site-rename detection, preview/confirmation, apply, rollback, and desktop/mobile layouts.
    • The Windows executable build and Windows/DPAPI acceptance checks remain to be run on the Windows build machine. No prebuilt Windows executable is claimed by this release.

Automatic application updates are not included in this version. Builds and installation remain manual.
